The Feast of Saint Stephen I (16 August), a 10th and 11th century Hungarian King, wo is remembered for the establishment of the Christian Kingdom of Hungary and the conversion of the Magyar people to Christianity. He is also remembered for creating a stable political structure and promoting national unity, which laid the foundation for Hungary’s development as a nation.

He is a patron saint of Hungary, kings, masons, stonecutters, stonemason, bricklayers, and as a protector against child death.

However, the title gives something away. In 1745, the British and Scottish were fighting the Jacobite Rebellion.

The Feast Day of Saint Maximilian Kolbe (14 August) celebrates the 19th and 20th century Polish friar, priest, saint, and martyr.

He is best remembered for volunteering to die in place of a man named Franciszek Gajowniczek in the German death camp of Auschwitz, located in German-occupied Poland during World War II. Prior to his death, he had been active in promoting the veneration of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, founding and supervising the monastery of Niepokalanów near Warsaw, operating an amateur-radio station (SP3RN), and founding or running several other organizations and publications.

He is a patron saint of prisoners, drug addicts, families, journalists, amateur radio operators, the pro-life movement, and people with eating disorders.
