Vacant eyes scare me too.
I notice it more and more as I grow older. With some people, I think they just kind of go on adulting autopilot. I’ve met a few people though where there really seemed to be *nothing* behind their eyes and it’s freaky.
Supposedly there’s a large percentage of people who have no inner dialogue in their heads. I assume the vacant eyes people fit into that camp.

I notice it more as an adult too. It’s pretty scary to me as well even though I’m sure most of them aren’t bad people.
Yeah, I heard about that and freaked me out so much. How can you have no inner dialogue at all??
Maybe when you meet someone, you should make them pass one of those captcha tests to verify that he/she isn’t a robot or a pod person.
