That’s so sad but it happens a lot.
It does! I overheard someone say “we aren’t rich enough to hang out with ____ anymore” and that inspired the post. I guess it makes some sense, though. It’s hard to have the type of shared experiences that lead to and sustain friendship bonds if you aren’t doing the same things, in the same places. Wealth disparity can create that separation.
Yeah, it’s hard to maintain friendships when you’re no longer able to do the same things or can’t afford to keep up with someone. It sucks but wealth does create separation not just with friends but sometimes with family too.
That is all too true, unfortunately.
