Really heartbreaking. Knowing you’ll never see someone again is one of the most painful things one can experience.
Definitely. I think that is often true even when we don’t like the person we’re parting from. A final parting is like the end of a story. When the story is happy, you want it to keep going. When it’s unhappy, you often wish there as more time to turn things around.
Yeah, I think in some ways the unhappy endings hurt even more since they’re so unsatisfying and don’t give us proper closure.
