Microgravity and Claustrophobic Isolation
When will I see your face again?
When will you want to see mine?
When will we get the coffee we planed on?
When will our arms intertwine?
When will I get to come down?
When will I step on the land?
When will I breathe the air freely?
When will I feel my toes in the sand?
When will I return to earth to be human?
When will I see my best friend?
When will I escape my duties?
When will this mission end?
When will this emptiness swallow me?
When will I take a pain-free breath?
When will I just float away in the darkness?
When will I freeze to death?
I love poems with a good repetition and this one is so good! It tells an interesting story and I love how it sounds read out loud.
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
I had the idea to write a poem from the perspective of someone going through “space madness” and this is what I ended up with.
