Sunny Days in Winter

There was no warmth for me in the sun
Though the skies were blue and bright
The heat of summer had turned to chill
And colder still when day was night

There was no warmth for me in your love
Though your eyes were blue and bright
The heat of passion was cold and gone
And colder still when day was night

There was no warmth for me in the sun
So I gathered kindling – a fire to light
The furnace flames soon drew you closer
And closer still when day was night
