As McDonald’s was becoming an American food service juggernaut, this was the jingle that sold it on television. The company successfully tapped into a collective sense of exhaustion felt by the American people… and it used that exhaustion to sell cheeseburgers. As one does.
You’re tired? You don’t want to make food for you kids when you get home from work? You deserve a break! Let us feed them! It was a successful formula that worked not only in the United States but also around the world.
