Dusty Feasts

The Feast of Saint Columba (9 June) celebrates the 6th century Irish abbot and missionary, credited with bringing Christianity to what later became Scotland. His life is heavily associated with miracles. He is considered to be one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland and one of the three patron saints of Ireland (along with Sts. Patrick and Brigid.)

The Feast Day of St. Brendan the Navigator (16 May), celebrates the 5th and 6th century Irish seafaring holy man who some believe sailed to North American five hundred years before Leif Erikson.
