Dusty Feasts
The Feast Day of St. Ambrose (7 December), a 4th century theologian and statesman remembered as an outspoken opponent of both the heresy of Arianism, as well as of paganism. He is remembered for his writings as well as for his role in the conversion of Augustine of Hippo.
Ambrose is officially a “Doctor of the Church,” and is considered by Western Christians to be one of the four great Latin Church Fathers – along with Gregory the Great, Augustine, and Jerome.
