The Feast of Saint Columba (9 June) celebrates the 6th century Irish abbot and missionary, credited with bringing Christianity to what later became Scotland. His life is heavily associated with miracles. He is considered to be one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland and one of the three patron saints of Ireland (along with Sts. Patrick and Brigid.)

The Feast Day of St. Donnán of Eigg (17 April), celebrates the 6th and 7th century Gaelic priest, likely from Ireland, who was martyred for attempting to to bring Christianity to the Picts of Northwestern Scotland.

His martyrdom, and those of his companions, were one of the largest in the history of the Celtic Church. Numerous places are named for him and he is now a Patron of Eigg.
