It’s true! Humor is such a strange thing. A joke can be hilarious but then overtold until it kind of becomes worn out and unfunny. Sometimes after a while, it starts to land again and you get your remake.
Yeah, it can go from being the funniest thing to being the lamest thing when it gets retold too much. And if there’s enough time in-between that people forget about it then it becomes funny again.
Sometimes, if one just keeps retelling a joke after it’s worn out the corny-ness becomes funny. Most “dad jokes” are of that vintage.
True, dad jokes are often just over told classic jokes.
