Together

A tree stands tall and strong
As the bird flits and flies
And makes those heights its home.

The bank boundary abides
As the rushing river roils,
And together they are named.

The moon gazes, mesmerized,
At the ever spinning earth
As they dance around the sun.

  1. Loved the poem. I am constantly fascinated by nature and having just been around so much nature this poem really hit the spot.

    1. Thank you! I’m very happy that you enjoyed it. Nature is a great muse. Of course, I haven’t learned to write poetry centered thematically around my love of architecture yet.

      1. “With a face like a gargoyle
        You judge me with stares
        Your presence brings turmoil
        And delivers nightmares.” etc.

        I like this idea.
